Care For Young People

Our Care Support Workers can provide both care in the home and out in the community; often taking children they care for to the park, cinema or other suitable leisure activity. We offer individual tailored care packages to those who require a high level of support or have complex care needs.

This gives the parent/ carer time to spend with their other children, their partner or time to attend their own appointments and look after their own well-being. Services are flexible to meet individual family needs, including after school and at weekends when they are most required.

We work with families by providing tailored care at flexible times to meet their needs; our Care Support Workers are experienced in working with families who have children with special needs and are able to take over their care, usually after school or at weekends to give the parent carer some respite and support.

Our staff will often take children out to the park, cinema, swimming or other suitable leisure activity or can provide care and play in the home if this is more appropriate. Regular Care Support Workers build good relationships with the children they care for and their carers, such that they really get to know and understand the child or young person.

Staff are also trained to give specialist help if required with feeding, medication and personal care. They are experienced and confident in dealing with difficult and challenging situations in a professional and caring way. This respite support gives the parent/ carer time to spend with other children, their partner or time to address their own health and well- being needs.
